President Park to Deliver Public Speech Monday Morning
After talks between ruling and opposition party leaders broke down President Park Geun-hye has decided to take the matter directly to the public.
The president will give a speech this morning to offer an apology for the late start in launching her government programs as a result of the deadlock in negotiating government restructuring legislation in parliament.
By doing so, President Park hopes to pressure the opposition party to help pass the bill as soon as possible.
The presidential office reiterated Sunday that the issue of creating the Ministry of Future, Creation and Science and making the ministry responsible for the nation's broadcasting policy is NON-negotiable.
