President-elect Park Appoints Chief of Staff & Three Senior Presidential Secretaries

President-elect Park has named former three-time Saenuri Party lawmaker Huh Tae-yeol as her chief of staff.
Mr. Huh is known to be one of the president-elect's closest aides and he has served on the ruling party's supreme council and as the chief of the parliamentary national policy committee.
Transition team spokesperson Yoon Chang-jung made the announcement Monday morning and also released the nominations of three senior presidential secretaries.
Yoo Min-bong, a senior official of the transition team and a professor at Sunkyunkwan University, was appointed as the senior presidential secretary for state affairs planning.
He will be in charge of creating the blueprint for the Park administration and coordinating the various departments at the presidential office.
The president-elect also designated Kwak Sang-do, former chief prosecutor at the western branch of the Daegu District Prosecutors' Office, as the senior presidential secretary for civil affairs, and Lee Nam-gi, CEO of SBS Media Holdings, as the senior presidential secretary for public relations.
What is notable about Monday's announcement is that all four appointees are alumni of Sunkyunkwan University.
Political observers had expected President-elect Park to appoint all nine senior presidential secretaries on Monday, but the transition team said that it will be another two to three days before the names of the remaining six secretaries are released..
