Outgoing President Lee Myung-bak is expected to issue special presidential pardons this week.A senior aide at the presidential office says the Justice Ministry recently completed its review of a special pardon proposal.

The only thing left to do is for President Lee to make his final decision, which could come as early as Tuesday.The public is awaiting President Lee's decision, curious about whether some of his close confidants like Choi See-joong, the former chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, will receive the special amnesty.
