President-elect Park Geun-hye Proposes Building up Systems to Better Support Small & Mid-sized Companies
Korea's economy was top of the agenda for President-elect Park Geun-hye's transition team Sunday. Park emphasized the need to build systems to better support the country's small and medium-sized companies. She proposed a system that would provide comprehensive information about small and mid-sized firms, so her administration could support the businesses that really need help and reduce government waste.. She also proposed a state-controlled database that would act as a bridge between the companies and job seekers.
For policy management overall, Park said setting up the policies accounts for only ten-percent of the management, while the remaining 90-percent should be focused on monitoring how the policies are being carried out.

"Ninety-percent of the management should be used to examine and evaluate whether the policies are properly put into practice, and making efforts to remedy the flaws."
Regarding the role of the state-run Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, which was set up to promote Korean firms' exports and to attract foreign investment, the president-elect said the
