  President-elect Park Geun-hye's Transition Team Officially Sets Off on Sunday

The presidential transition team officially set off on Sunday afternoon, with a signboard hanging ceremony at 2 p.m., in front of the committee's headquarters located in central Seoul.
Then President-elect Park Geun-hye handed out appointment certificates to each member of the transition team.
After the ceremony, members held their first meeting, which was presided over by committee chairman, Kim Yong-joon.
The chairman, vice chairman and 24 senior members of the nine subcommittees,.. will be in charge of ensuring President-elect Park makes a smooth transition into the presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae.
The team will also set the framework of the new administration, until February 24th.
Then, the next day, Park will be sworn in as the 18th president of the Republic of Korea.
With less than 50 days until the inauguration, political experts expect the transition team to draw up plans for restructuring the way the government is organized by the end of January at the latest.
Meanwhile, experts say President-elect Park Geun-hye will now focus on her appointments of key cabinet members,.. including the prime minister,.. by the end of this month or early next month.
