The U.S. House of Representatives has introduced a bill condemning North Korea for its recent missile launch.
U.S. sources say the bill proposed by Representative Eliana Ross-Lehtinen and 10 other representatives defines Pyongyang's missile launch as a clear violation of UN resolutions.
It also calls on China to actively pressure North Korea and to get behind sanctions against the regime.
Referring to media reports, the bill also includes language saying that North Korea and Iran have cooperated extensively since the 1980s to develop long-range missiles.
The bill was introduced last Thursday and is likely to be passed later this week.
