N.Korea Makes Progress with its Nuclear Reactor
North Korea is making further progress with its new nuclear reactor according to a report by the UN nuclear chief.
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukio Amano says Pyongyang is continuing the construction of its light water reactors and has largely completed work on the exterior part of its main building.
He says the facility may extend the country's capacity to produce material for nuclear bombs.
The light water reactor is being built at the North's main Yongbyon nuclear facility, which consists of a five-megawatt reactor, a fuel fabrication facility and a plutonium reprocessing plant.
