Naro Rocket Launch: Last Steps before Blast Off on D-Day
So Ji-sun, what are the last steps that will be taken tomorrow[Reporter : ] Well, the final tasks involve injecting fuel and boosting the rocket's power so it can escape gravity.
At T-minus four hours -- or around 11 in the morning, kerosene and liquefied oxygen will be loaded onto the rocket.
At 1:30 in the afternoon, the Korea Aerospace Research Institute will announce whether the launch will go forward as scheduled.
At 50 minutes prior to take-off, the scaffolding will be dismounted from the rocket body, and then 15 minutes before lift-off the rocket's automatic Pre-launch Operation system will kick in.
When the propulsion power reaches 142-tonnes -- enough to get the rocket out of the Earth's gravity -- the Naro will lift off from Goheung.
