So what do you have for us today[Reporter : ] This summer gave us some great music, with greatest hits albums and first releases by artists from Korea and abroad. Here are some of the highlights from four recently released albums.
Frank Ocean is known for electronic beats infused with sultry and addictive R&B melodies. His debut album, "Channel Orange," has reached number 1 on the iTunes chart in 10 countries and has already received critical acclaim for its creative mix of music genres.
JLo's latest album, "Dance Again The Hits," is filled with the singer's greatest hits and some new releases. From her debut single "If You Had My Love" to recent hits and new material such as the title track "Dance Again," fans will get a taste of the songs that have made the artist a regular on the Billboard charts.
The three-man band the Mushrooms sing warm acoustic melodies infused with sentiments of consolation on their debut album, "One Point Relief." The lyrics contain words of comfort for people who are going through hardships in their lives and the music is a gentle accompaniment to soothe troubled souls.
On its latest album, "The First," indie band Eastern Side Kick mixes Asian music styles with garage rock for a sound that is reminiscent of the 90s. The band snagged the Rookie of the Year award at the Olleh Music Indie Awards in 2011 and has since gained both critical and popular acclaim.
