Turning to the latest in the ongoing multi-billion dollar patent trial between Samsung Electronics and Apple
The Korean tech giant called its first witnesses to federal court to make its case against claims that it infringed on Apple software patents.
Two computer scientists demonstrated technologies resembling AND predating Apple's so-called "rubber-banding" technology a feature which makes an iPad or iPhone screen seem to bounce when a user scrolls to the end of a file.
One of the witnesses testified that he had invented a similar technology and showed jurors a video of the program from 2004, demonstrated on Hewlett-Packard's pocket personal computer.
Apple's iPhone was released in 2007.
