White House Considers Putting No Fly Zone over Syria
The United States is considering establishing a no fly zone over Syria to protect civilians from air strikes.
In a forum hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations Wednesday, White House Counterterrorism Advisor John Brennan said the Obama administration is trying to evaluate the possible effects of a no fly zone over Syria.
Fierce fighting between Syrian government forces and rebels continues in Aleppo with many buildings in the city reduced to rubble by heavy weaponry.
And Turkish media reported Wednesday that some 24-hundred Syrians from Aleppo and Idlib, mostly women and children, crossed into Turkey in a mass exodus over night.
The Turkish government has said that there are more than 47-thousand Syrian refugees staying in Turkish territory.
