Koreans to Make up a Third of Global LTE Subscribers

The Asia Pacific region is poised to overtake North America this year as the leading market for 4G LTE, with Koreans making up one out of three global subscribers.
A new report by market research firm Park Associates shows Asia Pacific will claim over 53 percent of all 4G LTE users by the end of this year, thanks to the large gains in Korea and Japan.
This estimate suggests that Koreans will constitute nearly a third of global LTE users by December, as the country's leading telecommunication companies aim to gather 16 million new subscribers.
Currently, Koreans represent a quarter of global LTE users.
According to the research, global LTE subscriber-ship will increase from 9 million last year to more than 560 million in 2016.
