SH: HISTORIC GOLD] And another victory that had Koreans in front of the screen over the weekend, waiting for a historic moment
The women's archery team maintained its streak of winning a gold in every Olympic Games since the 1988 Seoul Olympics with London's victory.
Connie Lee has more.
It was a nerve-wracking win.
Needing at least a 9 for gold with the final arrow 24-year-old Ki Bo-bae delivered just that.
Korea's Ki.. along with Lee Sung-jin and Choi Hyeonju beat China's trio 210- to 209.
It was a sweet victory for Team Korea who had a rough start at Lord's Cricket Ground.
At the outset, struggling against heavy downpours and blustery winds, Ki shot a low 6.
China had a slim lead for a little while.. until the last arrow from Korea that decided the match.
Speaking after the medal ceremony, Ki said that she wasn't nervous at all, and knew that if she did her best, that she could get the gold.
For China, it's the third time in a row that they have finished with a silver in this event.
