S. Korea's Chief Nuclear Negotiator in U.S. for Talks on N. Korea
South Korea's chief nuclear negotiator Lim Sung-nam is now in Washington on a three-day visit for discussions on North Korea.
After talks with his U.S. counterpart Glyn Davies Tuesday on the diplomatic and political situation after North Korea's attempted rocket launch, Lim stated that the Februrary 29th food aid agreement between Washington and Pyeongyang is no longer worth discussing.
When asked about whether the agreement will be delayed or suspended, Lim said it's closer to being suspended.
Lim is also scheduled to hold talks with officials at the White House's National Security Council and the U.S. State Department on Wednesday local time, focusing on security issues surrounding the Korean Peninsula.
