U.S.: N. Korea Agrees to Nuclear Moratorium for Food Aid
North Korea has agreed to implement a moratorium on long-range missile launches, nuclear tests, and nuclear activities at its Yongbyon nuclear facility.
The rare simultaneous announcements were made on Wednesday by the United States and North Korea prompting optimism for the resumption of the long-stalled 6-party nuclear talks.
The U.S. State Department announced on Wednesday that during their high-level talks in Beijing last week Pyeongyang had agreed to suspend its uranium enrichment program and allow the U.N. nuclear inspectors into the country.
