Korea's Natl. Assembly Speaker Denies Cash-for-Vote Allegations
Turning to domestic politics here in Korea
In the latest of developments in the "cash-for-vote" scandal Prosecutors are reportedly considering the time frame and method for questioning National Assembly Speaker Park Hee-tae.
Prosecutors are considering a number of options,.. including summoning Park, having him submit written answers, or questioning him outside of the prosecutors' office.
Park Hee-tae has completely denied ANY involvement in a vote-buying incident during a party leadership convention in 2008.
The 73 year old speaker held a press conference on Wednesday immediately after returning from a tour of four Asian countries, saying he did not recall the incident because it was such a long time ago.
Aides close to Park allegedly gave cash to fellow lawmakers during Park's bid to win the leadership post of the Grand National Party in 2008.
