Let's begin this Monday morning with what may be a sign that the long-stalled progress towards the resumption of the six-party nuclear talks is gaining momentum
Washington will announce a significant donation of food aid to Pyeongyang this week, the first concrete accomplishment after months of behind-the-scenes diplomatic contacts between the two states.
And, within days, North Korea will likely unveil an agreement to suspend its uranium enrichment program.
This is according to the Associated Press on Sunday citing sources familiar with the negotiations.
AP reports Washington's announcement of the food aid is expected to take place as early as Monday which, not only, would be welcome news for North Korea, but also pave the way for another crucial US, North Korea meeting in Beijing on Thursday.
It adds that the meeting in turn could lead to the resumption of the six-party nuclear disarmament talks within weeks.
