Korea's Gori No. 3 Nuclear Reactor Halts Updated: 2011-12-14 00:00:00 KST

Thank you for staying with us,
The Unit-3 reactor at Gori Nuclear Power Plant in Busan shut down earlier today, due to problems in the electric generator connected to the reactor.
This closure comes only a day after Unit-1 reactor at Uljin plant stopped operations raising concerns of possible power shortages.
However, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy assured the people that the halting of the 950-thousand kilowatt capacity reactor poses no threat to the nation's electricity supply as the country is maintaining an emergency supply of more than 5 million kilowatts.
