US Expresses Deep Concern Over N. Korea's Nuclear Activities Updated: 2011-12-01 00:00:00 KST

And, regarding North Korea's latest statement confirming its contruction of a light-water reactor and low-enriched unranium production the US State Department has expressed great concern.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Mark Toner, the department's deputy spokesperson, criticized the North Korean regime re-stating that Pyeongyang's construction of a light water reactor is a clear violation of the UN Security Council resolutions and breach of its denuclearization commitments under the 2005 joint six-party statement.
In 2005, the two Koreas, the US, China, Russia and Japan agreed on a communique, which included the North giving up all its nuclear weapons and programs.
Toner reiterated that Washington's policy and stance regarding North Korea's nuclear programs remains unchanged.
