An unusual snowstorm along the United States' east coast has claimed at least three lives and caused a power outage for 2.3 million households.
Media reports say areas in the states of New Jersey and Massachusetts have seen up to 40 centimeters of snow, accompanied by high winds reaching 45 kilometers per hour.
The National Weather Service has issued a storm warning for the weekend, and warned of transportation chaos.
Flights at New Jersey's Newark airport, as well as New York's JFK and LaGuardia airports were delayed due to unsafe weather conditions.
