Chief Presidential Aide May Resign Over By-Election Results
Chief presidential aide Lim Tae-hee has reportedly told President Lee Myung-bak that he will take responsibility for October 26th by-election results and step down.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Lim has expressed his will to resign, taking responsibility for the ruling Grand National Party's loss in the Seoul Mayoral race, and President Lee is mulling over Lim's decision.
Lim is said to have decided to leave his office also in response to the embroiled issue of President Lee's post-retirement residence.
The Presidential Office, however, said that Lim has not made an official announcement on his resignation.
