Seoulites were in for a treat tonight, as fireworks painted the night sky in a multitude of colors.
The Seoul International Fireworks Festival 2011, featuring teams from Japan, Portugal and of course Korea kicked off at 7.30 pm.
A huge crowd of roughly 280 thousand spectators filled up Hangang Park in Yeoido.
Families, couples and friends got to the park area early to find the best spot before the spectacle began.
The police were kept busy, as more than 900 police officers were dispatched for various duties, including traffic control.
