N. Korea Criticizes US for Demanding Preconditions to 6-Party Talks Updated: 2011-10-04 00:00:00 KST

North Korea has criticized the United States for demanding what it calls a set of "unjustified" preconditions to the resumption of the six-party nuclear talks.
The North's state-run Korean Central News Agency accused Washington Tuesday of creating a wrongful sentiment within the international community that the onus is on Pyeongyang to first fulfill certain actions before the talks can reopen.
While South Korea, the US and Japan have been calling on the North to suspend its uranium enrichment program, allow international inspection of its nuclear facilities and declare a moratorium on testing of weapons of mass destruction, Pyeongyang says the talks must restart unconditionally.
