Korean star swimmer Park Tae-hwan has secured his first victory over American Michael Phelps.
At the Stanta Clara International Grand Prix in California on Saturday, Park won first place in the men's 100-meter freestyle final with a record time of 48.92 seconds.
Phelps came in second with a time about point-7 seconds slower followed by Gaeme Moore, also from the United States.
Park also won the 400-meter freestyle final with a time five seconds faster than the runner-up, Ryan Cochrane of Canada.
Park will race in the men's 200-meter and 50-meter freestyle events on Sunday and the 200-meter mixed style on Monday.
