Multimational Panel to Inspect Nuclear Radiation Situation in Pacific Region Updated: 2011-06-05 00:00:00 KST

A total of 17 countries, including Korea, China and Japan, have agreed to conduct a joint investigation on nuclear radiation in the Pacific region.
A Japanese daily, Nihon Keizai Shimbun, reported that the 17-member nations of the International Atomic Energy Agency will look into the aftermath of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident.
They are to exchange data on radiation levels in their own maritime regions as well as the contamination situation in fishery products and citizen's health for the next four years.
