Korea, Japan to Discuss Nuclear Safety & Monitoring
A team of nuclear experts and government officials from Korea will meet with their Japanese counterparts on this Tuesday to discuss a series of safety measures amid concerns over the fallout from the Fukushima plant.
Seoul's Foreign Ministry says that at the two-day meeting starting on this Tuesday the two sides will focus on the effective and safe use of nuclear energy.
They will also talk about radiation measuring and monitoring as well as safety checks on food products.
The ministry says that after assessing the outcome of the meeting Seoul and Tokyo will decide on ways to further cooperate on the matter.
