N. Korea's Nuclear Envoy Arrives in Beijing Updated: 2011-04-07 00:00:00 KST

North Korea's top nuclear negotiator Kim Kye-gwan arrived in Beijing Thursday morning, where he was expected to meet his Chinese counterpart Wu Dawei to discuss the North's nuclear program.
Various reports say Kim was escorted by officials from Beijing's foreign ministry just after landing, and was likely heading for a luncheon with Wu.
Analysts predict the two communist allies will discuss the possibility of the North's uranium enrichment program, or UEP, being brought up at the United Nations Security Council and what to do if that happens.
Kim's trip follows Russian nuclear envoy Alexei Borodavkin's visits to Beijing AND Pyeongyang last month to talk about restarting the six-party talks and how to deal with the North's UEP.
