The Obama administration has called for all of the US' pending free trade agreements, including the one with Korea, to be put into effect expressing confidence that negotiations with Panama and Colombia are making headway.
At a seminar held by the National Bureau of Asian Research in Washington US Trade Representative Ron Kirk said that administration is working towards ratifying its trade deals with the three countries adding that it is for the White House to decide on when to submit the bills to Congress.
Kirk's comments come after senior Democratic Representative Sander Levin criticized the Republicans Tuesday for refusing to move ahead with the Korea agreement.
Levin said that the Korea deal should be submitted to Congress immediately regardless of the status of the Colombia and Panama deals.
