The Lunar New Year holiday is the biggest national holiday in Korea, a time when extended families get together and share New Year's wishes as well as pay respects to their ancestors.
But at the same time, it's also one of the most exhausting times for women, mostly married women, who have to prepare special Lunar New Year meals that take a lot of time and effort.
The heavy stress for women during the major holidays is not news to Koreans, but an interesting survey conducted by a prominent food company recently revealed that the least liked person during all the holiday commotion is the husband.

[Interview : Kim Bong-nim, House wife ] "About 20 family members join us as our Lunar New Year guests each year. So when family members do not really help out, it is a tremendous amount of work."
According to the survey, about 36 percent of 1,400 wives chose their husband as the their least favorite person during the Lunar New Year holiday, followed by sister-in-law and parents-in-law.
More than 60 percent of the respondents said that they picked their husband as the worst because they don't have the courtesy to help out in the often painstaking meal preparations.
Some blamed their husbands for being only concerned about their in-laws and also for sleeping through the entire holiday.
