Japan Seeks to Develop 3-Stage Rocket By 2020:Asahi Shimbun Updated: 2011-01-20 00:00:00 KST

Japan is looking to develop a three-stage next generation rocket by 2020.
That's according to a Japanese daily, Asahi Shimbun, which reported on Wednesday that Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, in collaboration with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, is planning to develop a three-stage rocket called the H-3.
The envisioned H-3, a three-level parallel connection of rocket engines that were used in the current H-2A and H-2B rockets would serve serve multiple missions heightening Japan's capability to send more complex payloads into space.
Meanwhile, Japan's plan to launch the unmanned H-2B space vehicle on Thursday has been delayed due to bad weather conditions and engineers say it won't be blasted off until Saturday.
