A cold snap swept Korea on Friday.
Temperatures in many parts of the country stayed below minus ten degrees Celsius mostly due to a cold continental high pressure front.
The Korea Meteorological Administration issued a wind chill warning in Gyeonggi and Gangwon Provinces.
Morning temperatures plummeted to minus 13.9 degrees in Seoul and minus 15 degrees in Daegwallyeong, Gangwon Province.
But with the wind-chill factor it feels a lot colder than the thermometer readings.
The cold bout is expected to continue into Christmas Day recording temperatures of around minus 10 degrees in most central regions.
The average temperature will rise starting Monday afternoon.
