Korea-Japan Sign MOU on Transborder Regional Development Updated: 2010-07-07 00:00:00 KST

Two regional economies in Korea and Japan have agreed to boost cooperation in information and people-to-people exchanges in the hopes of establishing an international economic bloc.
At the Presidential Committee on Regional Development Conference held on Korea's southernmost island of Jeju Korea's Dongnam Regional Development Committee and Japan's Kyushu Economic Research Center inked a Memorandum of Understanding signifying improved transborder regional development.
Under the two-year deal the two plan to recruit promising businesses to contribute to industrial and trade development and build up trust through joint research and periodical workshops.
