First up is Choo Shin-soo in the headlines again.
Yesterday we reported that Park Chan-ho was named in the Dodger's Team of the Decade and today, I'm happy to report that Choo Shin-soo has also been named in the "All Decade Squad" of the Cleveland Indians.
Three left fielders were named on the roster including Grady Sizemore and Kenny Lofton.
Five judges were responsible in the decision, including general manager Mark Shapiro and Indians chief radio announcer Tom Hamilton.
They mentioned Choo deserved the spot because of his top knotch performance and because of his geometric improvements.
The Korean wheelchair curling team did have a succesful run against Switzerland, reigning victorious with a 9-3 win in their seventh round robin but fell victim to first place spot holder Canada who now is insured the top spot with their 7-1 record.
Korea is now in third place behind the United States and to have the best chance to get into the semi-finals is a win against Germany.
Korea's sledge hockey team beat Sweden 2-1 at the UBC Thunderbird Arena in Vancouver recording their first win in the event.
Although Korea is not in contention for a medal, Korea has guarenteed at least a sixth place finish.
Brian Orser, the coach of figure skating Olympic gold medalist Kim Yu-na, will soon become an honorary citizen of Seoul.
Orser, the former Canadian figure skater who won silver medals in the 1984 Sarajevo and 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, began coaching Kim in 2006 and led her to her gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games.
An honorary citizen can attend events hosted by Seoul as a VIP guest and can enter municipal museums and galleries free of charge.
Past recipients include former Korea national team head coach Guus Hiddink, Pittsburgh Steeler Hines Ward and former U.S. ambassador to Seoul, Christopher Hill.
After a 2-1 victory against Olympiakos Piraeus that a gave them a 3-1 aggregate victory, Bordeaux is in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
After the match Yoann Gourcuff who scored the opening goal and son of Lorient coach Christian Gourcuff was asked who he would like to face in the quarter finals and he replied by saying he would like to stay away from Barcelona
And speak of the devil, Barcelona is in the quarter finals with two goals and an assist from striker Lionel Messi that gave the returning champions a 4-0 win over VfB Stuttgart.
The draw for the quarterfinals will be held Friday, with Manchester United as well as Arsenal, Bayern Munich, CSKA Moscow, Inter Milan and Olympique Lyon going into the hat along with Barcelona and Bordeaux.
Kim Jae-su is going to complete a feat the late Ko Mi-young died trying to do, all in her name, to climb all 14 of the highest peaks in the world.
Ko died on the way down from her 12th, Nanga Parbat.
And for you Park Chan-ho fans, The Yankees announced Park is scheduled step on the mound on the 19th in an exhibition game against Tampa Bay.
