An armed man trying to enter the Ukrainian consulate in Istanbul, Turkey was shot by a security officer on Tuesday.
According to the Istanbul governor the man tried to enter the building with a bomb and a gun but was soon shot by the guard and was hospitalized shortly after.
The governor said it was not a terrorist attack because he was trying to make it into the building over a personal grievance concerning his wife in Ukraine.
The official added the man's injury is not life-threatening.
The man was identified as a Turkish national married to a Ukraine woman who had been expelled from Ukraine.
