Recent analyses on North Korean leader Kim Jong-il's recent photographs indicate that the reclusive dictator may be suffering from kidney failure.
South Korea's Yonhap News reports that pictures of the leader taken since April last year show discoloration of his fingernails and hands which are common symptoms of renal disease.
The report added such signs have been evident in several photographs taken last year when Kim was inspecting an air force base in May, holding talks with former US President Bill Clinton in August and this year's meeting with Chinese senior official, Wang Jiarui in February.
The South Korean government however, failed to confirm Kim's health but said that the leader appears to have no problems ruling the country.
