Turkey and Kepco to Sign MOU on Building Turkey's Nuclear Power Reactor Updated: 2010-03-04 00:00:00 KST

It looks like Korea and Turkey are set to sign a memorandum of understanding to build nuclear reactors in Turkey.
The Ministry of Knowledge Economy says the state-run Korea Electric Power Corporation and Turkey are expected to sign an MOU as early as this month to build reactors for research and that details regarding the facility have yet to be decided.
Turkey has chosen Russia as the initial negotiator for its nuclear power plant project but legal disputes between the two countries are said to be hampering progress on the plan.
If Korea wins the bid it would be its second nuclear deal following a 40 billion US dollar project Korea received earlier this year from the United Arab Emirates.
