Korea and Turkey are expected to begin free trade agreement talks as the two sides agreed to hold a public hearing in Seoul, Friday.
At the hearing, officials from both countries are set to discuss how a bilateral FTA will impact their respective economies as well as hear ideas from each country's industry representatives.
An official with Seoul's trade ministry said if all goes well FTA talks could start as early as April.
With a population of 73 million Turkey's economy expanded by an average 6.8 percent annually between 2004 and 2008.
