South Korea's Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan has expressed his doubts over the possibility of the deadlocked six-party talks resuming in the near future saying North Korea is showing no signs of returning to negotiations.
Addressing an annual meeting of the heads of South Korean diplomatic missions Minister Yu highlighted North Korea's dove-and-hawk approach to inter-Korean relations stressing that an urgent diplomatic goal is to closely collaborate with other participants in the nuclear talks for a swift return to the multilateral talks.
The official added that the South Korean government will continue diplomatic efforts to persuade North Korea to recommit to denuclearization.
