We begin with Korea's celebration of its 4,345th National Foundation Day, or Gaecheonjeol .
The day has been designated as a national holiday since 1909, and Koreans, on this day, celebrate the creation of the state of ancient Korea by the legendary King Dangun.
At a national ceremony earlier this Thursday morning, Prime Minister Chung Hong-won said that national unity built on dialogue and compromise is what's most important for Korea at the present time.
His remarks come amid a string of ongoing political and social divisions within the country.
The prime minister added the nation should overcome challenges such as global economic uncertainties and social divisions.
