Happy Monday everyone and what a day it has been in the world of sports, I'm Kim Young
Over the weekend Korea pounded error-plagued Venezuela with a score of ten to two knocking the superstar laced team out of contentionThe United States faced off with Japan earlier today, Korea Standard Time and the resulst were a bit unexpected but at the same time, it was destined to end this wayThis is what happened

At Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California, Japan denied the US the right to enter the finals by defeating the star-studded cast nine-four The results were unexpected in the beginning of the game with Brian Roberts scoring the first run with a homer in the top of the first A see-saw match was witnessed as in the bottom of the second Atsunori Inaba scored on a Kenji Johjima sacrifice, evening it out at one-one

A game of catch-me-if-you-can followed, with the US scoring and Japan catching up evening it up until the fourth inning when Japan scored four more runs, taking advantage of the momentum at Dodger Stadium increasing the gap even further: six-two, Japan The US wasn't going out like a fool, bringing home two more and making the attempt to catch up in the eighth inning but Japan stopped the advance, scoring yet three more runs to finish the semi-final match with a score of nine to fourThe big day comes tomorrow when Korea meets Japan at Dodger Stadium for an epic fifth match at this World Baseball Classic
The action starts at six pm local in Los Angeles and ten am here in Korea

With the ISU World Figure Skating Championships having begun on the twenty-second, all eyes are on Kim Yu-Na once again and the young ice princess is poised at winning the gold
She will be skating at the Ladies Short Program as well as the Ladies Free Skating segment
This event is the season finale and Kim wants to go out with a bang by winning the final competition of the seasonShe kept her answers modest by saying that what she wants to do is to win the gold and that she will do the best she possibly can but not everything works out the way you want it toKim Yu-Na will go on the ice on Friday, March 27th

South Africa's Retief Goosen won at the Tampa Bay Championship by a single stroke
