Festivals to celebrate Buddha's Birthday were held throughout Korea on Sunday.
In Jogyesa, a representative temple of Korean Buddhism in Seoul participants poured perfume on Buddha's statue and made lotus lanterns.
And some 30-thousand people are estimated to have taken part in the highlight of the festival which is the lantern parade in downtown Seoul.
The birthday of Buddha is traditionally celebrated in East Asia on April 8th of the lunar calendar, which is this coming Saturday.
