The American magazine, Variety, earlier this week introduced Jeon Doyeon as one of the 50 most influential women in the world.
At Cannes in May, Jeon Doyeon won this year's best actress prize for director Lee Changdong's ''Secret Sunshine.''
In the movie that gave Korea its first acting award at the world's premiere film showcase, she played a woman devastated by the loss of her son.
The magazine said Korean critics call her a chameleon because she is able to lose herself so completely in a character that she becomes virtually unrecognizable.
Three other actresses - Angelina Jolie, Ilynea Lydia Mironoff from England and French actress Marion Cotillard were among the 50 picked.
