A record number of films were submitted to the Jeonju International Film Festival this year.
Organizers for the festival now in its eighth year said 1,035 films were submitted, which is an all-time record and 17 percent more than last year.
Foreign films from 51 countries make up over a third of this year's proposed screenings.
Festival organizers say after reviewing submissions they'll announce the final film roster in mid-March.
The festival in North Jeolla province kicks off its nine-day run on April 26.
