Of the newly-published 100 policy tasks 20 of them are concerning economic issues.
The 20 tasks are divided into four categories the first being to reform the investment atmosphere in Korea.
This will focus on tax cuts, creating sound relationships between labor unions and corporations and providing more incentives to foreign investors.
The second category covers deregulation. It includes removing regulations on broadcast and media, and changing laws that apply to the provinces in order to promote regional development.
And less stringent bank ownership regulations will allow industrial enterprises to buy larger stakes in commercial lenders. The third is creating more job opportunities through so-called green growth.
This is aimed at turning the Korean economy into one that takes environmental considerations more into account. And the fourth category on the list for the economy is to groom the country's industries that have a high potential for growth.
When the policies were first announced on October 7th Bahk Jaewan, the senior presidential secretary for state affairs, said through such steps Korea can achieve annual economic growth of 7 percent and create 3 million new jobs by the end of the administration.
As for the other broader categories in the government's plan social concerns are addressed with tasks concentrating on improving low-income families' access to health care and bolstering the national pension system.
In education school autonomy is called for as is more spending for science and technology programs.
