Moon Kook-Hyun Loses His Seat in the National Assembly

Thanks for staying with us.
Moon Kook-hyun , the head of the Creative Korea Party has lost his seat in the National Assembly.
The Supreme Court ruled that Moon violated the election law and sentenced him to an eight-month jail term, suspended for two years.
If a lawmaker violates the election law and is sentenced to jail or given a fine of over one million won it automatically nullifies the election results.
Moon was convicted of selling his party's National Assembly seat garnered under the proportional representation system during last year's general elections to former lawmaker Lee Han-jeong for 600 million won.
