The United Nations is considering placing more North Korean companies on its blacklist in order to impose sanctions.
Turkish UN Ambassador Baki Ilkin chairman of the North Korea sanctions committee told this to reporters after a closed-door meeting on Friday.
The ambassador said a list of North Korean companies and individuals involved in nuclear and missile development has been turned in for consideration.
The global body included three North Korean businesses on the list back in April.
However, humanitarian aid from the UN and the United States is to continue.
The spokesman for the UN Development Programme told Voice of America that the aid will resume as scheduled to help the North Korean people.
