CEO Chun Summoned by Prosecutors For Bribery

Sejoong Namo Tour Chairman Chun Shin-il was summoned by prosecutors to find out whether he received compensation for attempting to stop a tax audit into his friend's company.
Chun is accused of peddling influence on former National Tax Service commissioner Han Sang-ryule to quell a tax probe on Taekwang Industry and its CEO, Park Yeon-cha last year.
Chun allegedly received favorable stock deals from Park.
Late last year, Park was arrested for tax evasion and embezzlement and is at the center of a separate bribery scandal implicating former President Roh Moo-hyun and his family.
The ex-tax regulator, who is currently residing in the United States, was also quizzed by the authorities after they had e-mailed a questionnaire to him.
