Three opposition lawmakers lost their National Assembly seats Thursday because of bribery convictions.
The Supreme Court convicted Suh Chung-won, Yang Jeong-lyea and Kim Noh-sik for violating regulations related to last year's general election.
The court found that the co-chairman of the Pro-Park Coalition, Suh received about 3.2 billion won or about 2.5 million US dollars from Yang and Chung to help them win nominations.
The Pro-Park Coalition was launched last year by supporters of former Grand National Party Chairwoman Park Geun-hye as the GNP refused to put them on its ticket.
With this decision the coalition's number of seats in the Assembly is reduced from eight to five.
