Prosecutors Believe Ex-President's Daughter Also Received Money from Taekwang CEO

Prosecutors investigating the 1-million US dollars that former President Roh Moo-hyun's wife admitted to receiving from a businessman in 2007 now believe that the Roh family may have pocketed more illicit money.
The Supreme Prosecutors' Office claims it has uncovered evidence that Taekwang Industry Chairman Park Yeon-cha forked over an additional 400-thousand dollars to the ex-president's daughter, Roh Jung-yeon.
The new allegation was made after Ms. Roh and her husband were summoned for questioning Monday.
The authorities contend the 400-thousand dollars is separate from the total 6 million in bribes the family is accused of taking from the Taekwang CEO when Roh was in office.
Lawyers representing the former first family deny the accusations saying that the 400-thousand was from the 1-million.
