Senior lawmaker of the ruling Grand National Party Park Jin was brought into the prosecutors' office Friday morning for questioning over corruption charges.
According to the prosecution office Park is accused of receiving illegal political funds from Park Yeon-cha the chairman of shoemaking company Taekwang Industry who was arrested last December on charges of tax evasion and bribery.
Democratic Party lawmaker Suh Gab-won was also summoned on Thursday for similar charges but has been refusing to respond.
Lee Kwang-jae another member of the DP was arrested on charges of taking some 200 million won or about 150-thousand US dollars in bribes from the Taekwang chairman on Thursday.
